Art is as much about being part of a community as it is about the creative output of that community. Kin Berlin is a cultural project that centres around bringing together artistic communities, resulting in an ever-changing multidisciplinary body of work.

We needed to create a versatile identity that would embody their ethos and approach to making art happen and communicate their restless programme of events.

We designed an evolving custom font that finds a balance between being flexible, yet distinctive enough to be memorable. Animated versions for web and social media showed the elements of the identity dispersing and re-forming to reflect the creative process of Kin’s events, and the communities that coalesce around it.
